Volunteer Unit Vacation Home Check Application

Upon your request, the Calaveras County Sheriff's Office will provide a check of your property during times when your residence is vacant due to business or vacation trips. Please provide a 72-hour notice before your departure and read the following disclaimer before proceeding: The Calaveras County Sheriff's Office and the County do not assume any liability for your residence during specified dates. Vacation Checks are not to be used as a substitute for security measures so it is recommended that you make every effort to safeguard against losses including securing any high-value items, using proper locking devices, exterior lighting, alarm systems, cameras, etc. Vacation checks are performed by deputies or uniformed Sheriff Volunteers as time permits and do not include mail or newspaper pick-up.
